To be honest, I’m not a music reader and rely on chord sheets or tab for guitar parts, so this is all Greek to me.

I really admire those who read music and can only (in ignorance) sympathise with having to adapt to music written in unusual keys.

As I’m retired now, I probably should devote some time trying to read music.

Conversely ER, I've always read music and tab was always Greek to me, until hubby started learning to play guitar. He's better at improvisation than I am.

I've always been lousy at improvisation because of the reading of music, than relying on playing by ear, or my brain just doesn't work well that way!
