I can't really think of a newt for today - other than I started wailing or shouting in my sleep last night - BaronBR said he had never heard me make such a noise while asleep so I'll count it as a newt. Goodness knows what I was dreaming about.

I bought an Easter egg in the shape of a Highland Coo today. We have Highland Coos at our parkrun so I wanted to see what the 'egg' is like first then I might buy one for whoever is RD on Easter Saturday. (You can get them in M&S and they are £6!)

I managed to arrange donation of some bordering on sell by date fruit (lemons) to a food bank today. I didn't know food banks took fresh items other than from shops. The food bank lady is collecting them tomorrow.

I made a 'reel' for instagram for the first time today. I'm not really part of the Insta generation and less so the TikTok generation so it wasn't exactly the most creative video ever but the fact I managed to do it at all pleased me!

About This Thread

Maintained by Sharkie
Most of you know the score. Much in the bizarre way Easter has come to mean Chocolate, Lent is mainly thought of as an opportunity to Give Up Chocolate. At least until Easter. You know what I mean, 'What are you giving up for Lent?' * I say NO to this. Away with the hair shirts and the deprivation. Let's embrace change and the NEW. Spring is a time of renewal - and restoration.

Soooooo..... you don't have to take up indoor sky diving like my partner's 90 year old mot...
