Blimey is it that time of year again already? If you're still looking for a nice winter loosener, look no further. Only 9 weeks away from the South West's toughest road marathon, and one of the most scenic. Navigate cows, moorland ponies, weasels, frogs, furry caterpillars, just some of the faunae seen on the race course in the last week alone! Pass the lake where Arthur chucked Excalibur, the engraved stone marking the last king of Cornwall's death by drowning, Jamaica Inn, you also can see the largest quoit in England from the course, The UK's largest tin mine from 100 years agao, iron age hill forts, this is a 1 week holiday packed in 26.2 miles. If you do it once, you will be back again, and again and again. Online entry at: http://www.eastcornwallharriers.com/pages/marathonentryform.aspx... you know you want to.

Boing! 4 weeks to go, come on you know you want to.

Hills, breathtaking views, super friendly marshals, lakes, King Arthurs old stomping ground, more hills, Jamaica inn, King Doniert's stone (last king of Cornwall who drowned in 800 odd), wild Bodmin horses, herds of free roaming cattle, Cornish ales, yet more hills, resplendent autumnal colour, the satisfaction of having done the South West's hardest road marathon, even more hills, and me!

Over 200 entries now I reckon (I know the online amount and it's usually half/half with the postal amount), we can allow a maximum of 300. One week more then I will close online entry and then it will be enter on the day, which is a fiver more expensive, so if you're umming and arrring, time to make your mind up :-). Oh and the course is looking resplendent once again this year, and a warning that the bridge at the Golitha Falls car park will be down to pedestrians only, so has to be approached from the opposite end which is an extra 4 or 5 mile detour...

Actually the Cornish is now in danger of selling out. We have 285 entries and only 300 places, so if you're gonna enter, I'd do it now!
