Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I've been inspired to start writing a blog, and have started one on a blog-specific site.

I've made a couple of posts already, but was wondering if any of the regular bloggers here had any tips or advice for a noob?

Thanks

depends what you are blogging for, I blog on here mainly as a record of running stuff - it's my brain dump to be honest - so brain dump waffle away - its for you mainly - I look at it as my diary just other people can read it.

I'm the same - I write mine for myself first and foremost, but bear in mind that people are reading it - I tend to do mine as a daily diary, but sometimes I have used it to write about something specific - that may or may not be running related!

Thanks folks! :)

I'm mainly using it as a brain dump, as well as diary of my training and thoughts. Because others are reading it, I try to structure the posts I have written, as opposed to just scribbling away.

when you blog on here there's a counter that tells you how many have read it.

Like Autumnleaves I blog every day - sometimes more than once. It's for myself because I just like writing but I'd be lying if I denied liking people reading - and commenting sometimes. I blog my training (there's lots) but loads of other stuff too. However the mood takes me really.

If you like writing you just do it, you don't really need tips! :-)

I write about any old rubbish that happens to be in my head to that particular moment in time!
