Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Hellooooo Girls.

What breed are they jacdaw?
I’ve got 2 olive green eggs in my last box from the farm. I guess they’re all as good as each other as food for us?

I'm fairly sure you can mix yolk and white together and freeze, Need to mix the yolk well with the white or it goes a bit jellyfied. Fine for scrambled eggs etc

I never buy egg boxes, just recycle them! I had a big supply of new boxes a local (serious) producer gave me, and apart from that I just scrounge them, or get them back from whoever I give or sell the eggs to.

Last year I was freezing eggs in this form:

But a bit short of yeast this year. Never had much success freezing them.

Oh, and the hens are just hens... we've had marans and wyandottes and speckled sussex in the past, plus some speckledy hybrids, so these are just their offspring.

First time I’ve tried Lemonade Cheat Scones. Just 3 ingredients

400g flour
175 ml double cream
175 ml fizzy lemonade.

Mix together .. gently roll out and cut into scones.

Bake as per usual

I can’t believe it ... but they are gorgeous
