Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Nice easy run at an entirely comfortable pace
Fitz
Thank god that's 2015's marathons finished for me. Can't wait to get rid of my foot injury and to launch an assault on my PB in 2016.
As for the event: stunning weather, maybe a little too warm, well organised and well attended - they were claiming 15,000 between the Mara, half and relay. The finish area was much better organised than previous years, especially extra space for the baggage trucks. However, they can stick their expo up their chute, they can stick Saturday's breakfast run (which went THROUGH the expo) up their chute and adidas can stick their cotton souvenir t-shirt up their chute.
As for me: I set out hoping to maintain 4-hour pace but knowing the foot injury would get to me eventually. Kept on target until around 30km, even after walking through the water stations to make sure I was hydrated sufficiently in the heat, and then 2 loo stops. A pile of poo from 30km to the finish. But a finish.
