Split Summary
==== scot gas 10k race. out and back along the waterfront
had a bad start, lined up next to Alec and he got away well but i got boxed in badly and couldn't get any clear air for nearly a kilometer, never mind, afrter that i tried to make up lost time and got some good speed up,i set my garmin to match last weeks pb time in musselbourgh and tried to match that.
strong headwind for the first half of the race,i was quite exposed and was acting as a mobile windbreak for three other lucky runners behind me!,felt really good still at 7km and wished i'd run a bit faster during the race, kept expecting to tire or run out of energy but it didn't happen.
Alec warned me there was a nasty hill right at the end,and he was right it was nasty! worked out quite good for me tho as i dropped a couple of guys that had been breathing down my neck for the last couple of kilo.
Overall quite enjoyed this.new pb

which is nice. but wish i'd set myself a slightly higher pace, maybe next time.

very quick,were you racing???
yep, sorry took me so long to write my novel length race report
Well done Mark you ran a sesible race, the slow start helped you , trust me i know i paid for a quicker start, but you should get a better time next race the wind in the first half and that last hill, hampered us all
nice running and another good time
Great running mark m8 and another well earned pb!!
