Aww, this is a "not a parkrun" at Lews Castle, Stornoway, Isle of Lewis, with my 4 year old grandson. He has enjoyed coming to start of parkrun with me and sometimes doing a bit of it, e.g. 1 lap of a 3 lapper, or first half mile of this one, once before, then I meet him back near the finish and cross the line with him. But this time we got half mile in and he still wanted to go on. So I said to his dad, I'll just take him as far as he wants to go and come back and won't bother getting a parkrun finish. And said to the tail walker not to wait for us. So we continued on. And on. And on! As we passed the various marshals I said don't wait for us, but looks like we might be doing the whole thing. And indeed we did! Great fun, with bits of run and bits of walk, and bits of sit on a bench for a power up, or pick some berries for a power up, or go in a cave or little side building for a power up, etc. But he did so well and it was great fun for me too. :-) G
