RFJ Ryde 10m Report... Hop skip and a jump over to the IOW on the catermaran, nice warm up and ready in blustery conditions.... really didnt know how to apporach this as longest distance raced since coming back.... but did want to keep it under MP (7:10 / 7:15 ave pace.....) 1m - 6:56 Flatish and the normal conjested start 2m - 7:20 1st of the hills..... 3m - 6:44 nicely into a comfortable pace 4m - 6:46 comfortable pace confirmed 5m - 7:09 Playful hills / undulations 5m in 34:57 6m - 7:08 same as mle 5... 7m - 6:43 and the drop to the sea front 8m - 6:55 Flat but the wind is an issue 9m - 7:56 Not only is the wind an issue so is the large hill and the knee 10m 6:52 all down hill and flat, but cannot take advantage untill on the flat as my right knee is hurting (inside) on strike down the hill... no other pain and no pain when on the flat - so will have to see what happens..... in total 1:10:33, so happy overall, but the knee is a slight concern, did fall heavily a few weeks back and wonder if have done soemthing... but was only going down the last hill where it was sore.
