Grey Badger 3rd race in 64hrs and it felt like it, just had to run a steady, even paced race and didn't have anything left in last mile when a couple of people passed me. Nice route and very well organised and marshalled by Moorfoot Runners. Came in 19th out of 140. Northumberland Fell Runners 35:28 35:28 38:00 37:40 77.57
IanS Nice wee race, well organised and well marshalled. Roads weren't closed but the marshalls and police stopped the traffic to let the runners through so there was no problem. Managed a nice even pace all the way round but tired a bit in the last couple of km. Should manage sub-45 next time :-) Only Fetchie spotted was RichyC (but from a distance!) RichyC 38.53 and 22nd of 143. Went in to this race hoping to have a go at my pb and possibly break through 38mins but it never materialised. After a quick (too quick) first mile I didn't feel great and felt the same from there on in. Not sure what my problem was, guess we have good days and bad days. The race itself is a good wee race and decent weather today guaranteed a good turnout, up on last year. I need to get some serious speed training done over the summer if I'm to improve at this distance. Unaffiliated 35:48 36:22 38:53 67.90
