After a great PB of 33.39 in the Banbury 5 last week I would certainly like to think I can do sub 34 min again.
However having never run this course I dont know if its hilly so I wont put pressure on myself to get a PB again but will see how it goes. Would like at least sub 34 mins again though.

Post Race Notes
Ran an even paced race and got another PB by 4 seconds!! If I had known this race was not as hilly as some of the others I would have kicked on before I did and could have probably PB'ed by more. As it was I am always happy with a PB and also happy that I still felt I could have gone faster. My running has moved up a level again. Unaffiliated 33:17 33:17 34:00 33:35 62.98

CStar Still reckon I can knock 30 secs off Banbury time - here's hoping.
Right let's be clear- betting 1000 points on me is not fair ;-). I was going to give this race a miss until I saw that yesterday. Still recovering from 10K's on Thursday and Sunday. However inspired by you b*st**ds, I did do it and did OK, though the last mile hurt a lot. PB'd so now can I please go and lie down in peace :-) Sandhurst Joggers 33:54 36:38 36:59 36:38 60.90

Jigs 1st mile little quick. Settled in on 2nd mile, 3rd had a bugger of a hill, hung on in on 4th tried to relax a little, 5th was partly downhill to the finish, endeavoured to kick for the finish, didn't seem to work. Crossed the line and had to swallow hard to avoid vomming! New PB, must be pleased :) Unaffiliated 28:27 30:27 30:27 72.14

Mrs Jigs (Luverlylegs) I was aiming for around 35 mins, 1st mile was much faster than intended although it was down hill so not surprising, 2nd mile was slightly slower than intended, 3rd was sooooooo slow 8.01!! it felt quite a hard climb, I was feeling very light headed after going over the road bridge, turned the corner and there was another incline :-(
recovered well and miles 4 & 5 were both 7m/m which I was very happy with.

Miles 4/5 was leap frogging with a runner from R&N AC who after reading her race report I think may have been Runningheva!! :) Thanks, you pushed me on!!

Still waiting for official results but think I was around 35:50 so a very nice PB! :)

Nice to meet LinnyLou who was marshalling :) didn't spot her on the route though, must have been in the 'Zone' ;)

Nog Like everyone else, a fast first mile and slow second (did anyone with a GPS check that the first mile marker was in the right place..?!), then that lovely hill. Didn't mind that so much as the extra bit of hill round the sharp bend... but the joyful chorus of swearing made me smile! Recovery for half a mile and then fairly speedy (for me) to the finish. Almost caught the chap I've now finished directly behind in 3 of the 5 races from the series that I've done. Very nice bloke though (and beat him by a fair chunk at Weedon!!). PB while fighting a cold, so v happy. Unaffiliated 37:00 37:00 38:00 37:00 57.55
Runningheva I have a cold, but if I am well enough to go to work, I am well enough to go out to play!
Fast first mile (downhill) then the hard work started, Brokentoes passed me at about 3.75 miles and he soon pulled away despite me trying hard to stay with him. I got a very good time of about 36.06 (official times are not ready yet) I won my age group, but no prize this week. Still that is 4 wins from 4 with one more race in the Grand Prix. It's looking good for the series. Rugby & Northampton AC 35:21 35:21 36:07 78.89
