The normal point to remember that you forgot to get petrol is when the tank stops running on fumes. Or, in my case, the normal point at which I discovered that my ex-husband had forgotten to get petrol...

And it appears I inadvertantly ground someone elses gears. Now the fact that someone else ground their gears unnecessarily (got it right this time!) at me for no reason has caused me to grind mine back at them entirely unnecessarily (wooo, again!). This is one hell of a circle grind going on now.
