A guy at our club.
We have a membership form which everyone has to fill in and sign each year. Out of over 140 members, all but one have filled in the form. This one person, for some reason objected to the form and submitted his own, altered version of the form, cobbled together from the old 2014 form. I pointed out that I needed the correct paperwork, on I think 6 occasions as well as the 'round robin' emails he will have received reminding members about renewing their memberships. When I gave him a deadline (I need paperwork in place for renewing the clubs UKA affiliations) he accused me of making threats! He demanded a meeting to 'discuss the situation and arrive at a compromise'. When I asked what his specific grievance was, he refused to give me any details. (There is no compromise, you either fill in the form or you're not a member!)
Later, on the day of the deadline we had a club social which I knew he would be attending so I pounced on him as soon as he got out of the car, a blank form in my hand and he refused to discuss it and walked away while I was talking to him. Very rude.
So, his cheque has been returned.
Today I get an email from him saying he's going to complain to the governing body!
Throughout I have been very polite (despite wanting to tell him he's an attention seeking pillock). The committee are totally aware of everything and voted against accepting his incorrect form. Had he at any point simply filled in the form, there would not have been a problem.
I agree this is all a bit petty, but what makes him so special that he doesn't have to fill in the form? You wouldn't get away with it at the bank or at the gym or something so why is he trying it on now?
I am tempted to just ignore todays email and if he wants to make himself look silly by taking it further let him.

He wont tell me Fragile! I had said I would consider a meeting if he provided a short agenda, but again he refused to do that.
He made the forms a few years ago, this year we have changed them to include extra info and I'm guessing he's miffed we're not using his form any more. Or something similarly silly.

Sounds like he's got a stick up his arse about something and is trying to Make A Point. Except he doesn't seem to know what the point actually is.

JK *chameleon*
Just exclude him. He's not done what he needs to do to stay a member - so he's not a member. Sounds like a total cockwomble to me.
