Happened on the 2055 BA out of Gatwick last night. Always happens on Easyjet, regardless of allocated seating now and to a lesser extent on BA. I usually get on last, what's the point. You just have to wait longer if you are on first. Got the same plane as Fred Goodwin back in the day a few times. BA crew used to sidle up to him in the lounge and invite him for a prepreboard. So everyone just stared at him sitting in 1A (and B and C), when they got on. |

I do kinda understand the queueing to get on the plane as quickly as possible - I've been known to do it so I can get some overhead locker space near my actual seat and not in a different cabin. Also, MrW isn't a good flyer, I like to get him on the plane asap and then give him his tranqs before he gets too wound up.

Winded
There is an 83 year old gentleman at my local parkrun. Only a few years ago he was finishing in 32 or 33 minutes; now it is more like 43. I've often seen runners who have finished and are leaving or just having a chat obstructing the path while he (and a few others) are still going. The same people say he is "wonderful" and "inspirational" but manage to show so little awareness of their surroundings that they choose to stand in his way. Odd isn't it?

as far as people being aware of their surroundings winded, forget it - they are indeed dipshits and will be the 1st to die in the zombie apocalypse

That's so disrespectful Winded but typical of people everywhere. Swathes of humans have what appear to be full-scale meetings on Saturdays in my local high street which actually has a wide pavement on the side with the shops on. I still end up in the road trying to get round them. |

People in races who get round the 'no earphones' rule by holding their phone with the music on so we all get to hear it. They always seem to have shit taste in music too.

Recipes where things are measured in cups. Add 1 cup of butter. Cool, that sounds precise. |

OB - this might help deliaonline.com but I know what you mean, I avoid recipes that use 'cups', they're such a faff. |
