I feel the same about the preservation of languages. You can't insist on people continuing to speak something they don't find useful or beneficial. That's every bit as bad as linguistic imperialism. I think I feel like this about spending public money on restoring old buildings too, actually - National Trust et al take note

Carrying on from carpathius post. I love it when I get them inbox messages on Facebook because I love clicking LEAVE THE CONVERSATION because I know that the sender plus all recipitants sees a message saying DAWN HAS LEFT THE CONVERSATION and thats like me giving them the middle finger

The co-op advert using a Christmas tune; unsettles me every time I hear it. I keep thinking 'ooo yay, Christmas is coming' and then remember that it's August and Christmas is 1/4 of a year away.

The co-op is pretty shit. I used to work for their legal services so got a staff discount in stores but half the time they don't have what you want and the stores are horrible. They all look old and shabby.

They have some gems tho' - chocolate (when it's good), their own soya milk is good (I don't use soya milk anymore anyway but ...), their non-from-concentrate apple juice is v good, fruit & veg OK, wine usually drinkable and well-priced.
