Mind you, they probably find our constant table tennis noises really irritating too

This is why I love running on my own, in the middle of nowhere in the peace and quiet! I probably just need one of those special pairs of "mother's ears" which seem to be able to block out the screaming, shouting, whinging and whining of all children. Yes, I'm a miserable old bag.
