You do nothing but complain, but if you were forced to downsize, you've got somewhere to go. For me, to downsize would be to the gutter. Stop f**king complaining about your lot! Unbelieveable.

It's almost a competition between a group of people I know (who married and divorced well) about who's the most skint. Along the lines of: "I had to remortgage to build the extension." (My advice would've been don't build an extension and continue to live in a mortgage-free 3-storey house.) "I have to buy all my clothes in charity shops". (No you don't, you own the large house you live in. Get a smaller house and buy new clothes or go out less. I only go out once a month.) I have to keep my mouth zippered because I worry about sounding insensitive to them. I'm daft tho' aren't I? I should inject the conversation with some realism.
