In her Times column today she says she's stopped dieting and exercising and feels better than she ever has.
"But here’s the thing: despite my lack of serious exercise and consumption of normal food, I feel fine. Better than ever, in fact. I haven’t ballooned to a size 23 and I am not living on chocolate. If anything, my weight has stabilised, probably because now that I don’t have those spin classes to assuage my guilt, I’m a bit more careful about what I eat. My health has improved too. Maybe it’s something to do with staying away from all those germ-infested changing rooms, or the fact that I’m not pushing my exhausted carcass to the limits of its physical endurance after a full day’s work. But lately I haven’t had so much as a sniffle. My joints don’t hurt, I have no back pain and I sleep better. My skin is clear and my eyes bright. People keep telling me how well I look."
I usually avoid her articles because they are so vapid and self-promoting, but this one is being promoted all over the site. Stupid lardy-arsed bint. I should comment and tell her she's obviously been making pretty simple exercise mistakes, and you don't really need to step into a gym to get exercise. But she's married to a Tory minister, so her view of life is bound to be a bit off.

Fleecy, there are times when it's only the fact that I CAN imagine being married to Michael Give that keeps Mr L's place in my life as secure as it is. He is on holiday from this afternoon (Mr L, that is: being a Tory minister probably means Michael Gove has already been holiday for at least a week) and I can feel my stress level elevating already.

What a stupid bitch: surely if you're getting injured spinning you're doing it all wrong?!
JenL: you can always send Mr L to KOCF for a bit of man-lurve if he starts getting on your tits

The Orwellian overtones of the expression "thought leaders". Whatever happened to free thinking?

Fleecy - mrWT get apolopletic whenever he sees Gove, which is hilarious.
There are a lot of things Sarah Vine does wrong, starting with her column.

Thinking is another thing that is getting taxed in order to close the deficit. Of course, this will demotivate people from thinking at all and turn Britain into a horde of mindless zombies.
See! It has happened already!

It's the thin end of the wedge, PC gone mad, and health and safety all wrapped into one. We're doomed. A walled community of Express-reading expats in Spain sounds....argh no!

Michael Gove? Don't get me going on bl**dy Michael Gove (I'm chair of govs of a primary school that's going through academy conversion 'cos we need to change our age range and it's the only way to do it in the timescales we need - which of itself is another thing to grind my gears).
Why is it that we're quietly accepting the wholesale privatisation of education provision in this country?
