Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

People who have a cold acting as if they are the first and only person in the world who is ill. Crying, being all pathetic and "wispy". GO AWAY.

'crickey'.

Srsly, do you say it like that, like 'cricket'?

It's 'crikey'. How is that not obvious?

Also, people who can't tell the natural order of which should be the entrance and which the exit at a petrol station.

I had to go back up to the counter to collect my panini from a bloke. I asked about the chips I'd ordered, but they would be brought over. By the same bloke eventually. Sainsburys, try something new today.

I'd like to bring Rhod Gilbert here.

"Can I get..."

This is not an episode of Friends. You are not Jannifer Aniston or Matt le Blanc. So, no, you can't get.

You can have it but I have to get it. It's my job, I work here. So you ask if you can have something, I get it for you, you give me money and then it's yours.

If you want to "get" it, apply for a job here, then you can work here like me and get things for people. But not for those that say, "can I get."

This is very much an 'is this just me' observation.

Listen to any scientist being interviewed on tv or radio (Today programme is good for this, also Dara O'Brien's Science Club). The scientist's reply to any question will always be prefixed with the word 'so'

As in..
Q. How likely is it that the moon is made of cheese?
A. So we took a sample of fifty cheeses which we compared in a spectrometer etc etc etc

It's like they've ignored the question and continued with their lecture notes.

I appreciate I may be out on a limb with this, but listen out- they're all at it!
