Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Did quite well on the general knowledge tonight. However reading all the marina books in order as a child obviously never stuck with me!

Got all the connections for the walls but not necessarily sorted correctly, and at one point I was shouting ‘triffids’ at the TV! (After clue 2, which is one of my favourite books)

The OC and UC Christmas specials have been VERY good indeed. The US/GB OC especially so, make sure you watch them.

Me and OW watch on catch up but yesterday’s viewing of the Cooke’s v Teetotallers had us confused by the wall. We got that Kryptonite, mithril etc were a catagory, but didn’t put Octogen in that group. VCM said it was from Terry Pratchett; I’ve read all his books and remember Octarine, the colour seen only by wizards and cats, but not Octogen. Did anyone else spot that, or have I missed a TP reference?

Yeah, I wasn't sure about that one either, and I'm a big PTerry fan.

I got all the science of Discworld books for Christmas, so I'll have to read them and report back.

I can’t believe OC would get that wrong, imagine all the outraged viewers!

um
Octogen is a gas that radiates raw, unbound magic. It is similar to the metal octiron and Roundworld's radon (while the name itself is a parody of oxygen).
