Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Hi as a few of you know I organise a race up here in November.

We are planning this year's event and a few costs are coming in and we are calculating our costs.

Looks like we may be squeezed tightly to break even.

What would you prefer? Same cost as last year and get slightly less in terms of prizes, goodies and facilities - or pay a £1 more for the same as recent years.

Hint our cost is a whole £16 (£18)

Have set up a poll also

A pound more is not an unreasonable swallow. What did you give out in terms of goodies, though, what savings could be had?

I wouldn't raise even a little bit of an eyebrow at a small year-on-year increase in the entry fee if the race met all the criteria of a well-organised race. I trust it's not a trail 3.7k or something like that ;)

Sigh
I would pay (and have paid) regular small increases for the same event. That is far better than keeping it artificially low for several years followed by a large increase.

It's a 10k, chip timed, 450 entries. Club run event not a commercial or sponsored (yet!) event.

For a chip timed 10k I'd pay up to about £20. I actually have all this on a spreadsheet, will share when I escape from Kwikfit.

Here you are:

Any prior to RAF Shawbury in 2017 were the non-affiliated prices, from Shawbury onwards it's affiliated prices (as a member of FERC).
