Sigh
I should add - some are low because I took advantage of early bird entry fees (Walton Wobble, Farndon); these are typically about £16 - £18.

It’s a nice 10k race and happy to pay more.

A packet of crisps is my preferred snack after a race.

Thanks Sigh.

Thanks UC - last year we used the water bottle as a goody bag so crisps a bit awkward.

i personally am not too bothered about a goody bag as such, but for longer races i would prefer to have a good range of drinks/snacks at the end, but i know i'm probably in the minority with that.

otherwise, a £1 increase - especially in a non-sponsored event - is not unreasonable.

Hi, Old Croc. Great to see that your event is still going from strength to strength.

Thankfully, we've managed to keep the Jubilee Running 10k at the same prices for a fifth successive year (£8.00 affiliated and £10.00 non-affiliated, with £2.00 increases for race day entries).

This year, we've managed to secure a medical provider for half the usual price although the local council have stung us with a £30.00 Open Spaces Application fee - the first time they have done so.

If you are in or around the South Croydon area, this year's event is on Sunday 23 June at 9.15 am. No web site again this year as under construction. Entries via runbritain or by old-fashioned entry form obtainable by e-mailing office@croydon-jubilee.co.uk.

Some races have a reputation for a decent goody bag or gift, for example the Guy Fawkes 10 in North Yorkshire always has a bag with several chocolate bars in it. It’s not necessarily the reason people do the races but it can help draw people in and if the goodies then don’t live up to past expectations it can be quite disappointing. So I’d say if you have already set the bar on goodies then you should maintain it.

Thanks Meg
We have steadily built up the goodies but I think main draw is the finishing straight up to the castle!
