Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Hang on a second, these are boots-on-the-ground and learned opinions from SF and FF. It must be pretty bad on that last section over The Schil .....

I might be guilty of leading some dramatic under-estimations here :-(

I've proved wrong by Carol on more than one occasion so I wouldn't give up hope yet. Big factors will be how long she decides to stop at Hut 2 (and we have no inside knowledge on that) how much of her excellent descending skills are still functioning and hard she is willing to drive herself from when she reaches the farm at the road head.

Did you hear anything about how Alan's race went mrs_shanksi?

It does seem like you'd have to be really careful sending people out in conditions and kit which would see them given a well justified bollocking by the MRT if they pulled them off any other hill.

I haven't seen anything from Alan or Lyndsay on fb so I don't know, hopefully he'll post something soon. He did 173.4 miles stopped at Dufton late last night so I guess he's recovering!
