What a gorgeous day! Had a fantastic run, took 8 mins off my training time, really good practice for racing a long distance. Feel great today as well, no niggling aches and pains. Looking forward to Barrow bigtime

well done Stonehan - see you at Barrow. You're not heading to the Cambridge Boundary Run this weekend are you?

Thanks LBM and mile muncher. That's a very impressive PB there, LBM! I wish now I hadn't been too shy to say hello when I saw you, mm, but I wasn't sure if it was OK or not? I can't race next weekend but I was planning my first 26.2 training run. I see it as a first step towards ultras; it's another number to conquer, like the first time I ran ten miles, or fifteen, or twenty. Once I admitted to myself that my real goal is ultras the Marathon distance stopped feeling so intimidating. Plus, I felt like such a lightweight at Xmas in barrow, only doing the 15. I promised myself then I would do the full distance in spring. Hope the weather is even half as nice for you this weekend as it was on Sunday.

Thanks stonehan and good luck with the ultra training. I agree that marathons seem less intimidating once you embark on on a Ultra. Did my first last November.
Have a great run at Barrow MM!
