Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

I saw this and he reckons shin splints are cured in 24 - 48 hours. Some of the comments on youtube are favourable but I still doubt it.

I figure there must be a few people with shin splints here - anyone able to try it and update?

I struggled to hear the commentary, but it looked good to me.
I've had niggling shin splints recently, and massaging calf muscles, peroneals and the anterior tibialis certainly helps.
I hadn't thought about the underfoot..which he uses a golf ball for.

Try it Kieren..hope it helps.

I managed to source a golf ball from someones desk today.

I still doubt this is going to work but rubbing it around my arch is bloody painful. Feels great round the heel - if anything I'll be keeping the golf ball

Does this really work has anyone actually tried this as i get awful shin splints in my left leg. Is it worth a go as my dad has hundreds of golf balls so not a problem to source one.

no - just as I thought - it didn't work.

I used a foam roller too. Forced rest now I think which is the hardest part

The only thing that ever worked for me was changing the way I ran and stopped heel striking
