Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I note that RW has a kitchens thread today, whereas we have none.

It also has an invitation to watch (illegally, I suppose) some football match or other.

Please discuss anything which you think arises from this observation.

The question that arises is, "What is Chris avoiding doing?"

I haven't been on RW in years, am I missing anything? (apart from kitchens and football)

Fetchforks at the ready! Is it a match worth watching?

It used to be all go in here on Satyrdays when it was a country village - one Saturday thread was why my avatar is a leopard.

I have fond memories of one Saturday evening thread - you had to type really quickly to get a response in fast enough for it not to be more than a page late.

RW has an advert which, when clicked, leads to a site offering me cards printed with the words "Thank you for being my bridesmaid."

I can't find that ad, which is a shame since I really wanted some of those.

In fact, poking about, I can see that the ads are targeted. In my case that means they relate mostly to MadameR's recent searches.

Tell us more Chris.
