Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I received my shirt and number today. Lovely shirt.

Number blue 8444. My plan....run slow and see what happens....walk some then run some more then walk some then run a bit more....and get 13.1 miles done.....May be a PW for me though.

Mine arrived yesterday, Oceanspirit. I really like the shirt.

Looking forward to it again this year but I think this will be my last for a while for a lot of reasons.

The company I work for have applied for Corporate places for this years race, so other than the price which various people seem to have moaned about (but I won't be paying :-)) I wondered what Fetchies who have done this race in the past thought about it? Is it PB-able, or is it too congested?

Flat but busy and very twisty turny. Much less crowded as it opens out, but gets more turny then.

I enjoyed it, I reckon you could PB, depending on how soft your PB is....

I won't whinge this time. It was my first half marathon, the first time it was run, and I loved it. It was, back in those days (only about 3 or 4 years ago) relatively uncluttered and had definite PB potential.
It's now massively oversubscribed and popular, but I'd suggest that if you start reasonably back from the front you should be ok. It's chip timed and you have starting pens depending on your estimated finish times, so there's normally a gap between different ability groups.

Thanks both. So basically worth a run if I can get a free place, although I'd probably be able to find a better PB opportunity elsewhere.

Got something to say?
