It is on Sky Documentaries, MaT.T, so I watched it on NowTV - just as I was wondering whether to cancel my subscription or not!

The angles on the tributes and the wonderful stories and music coming out from all places is amazing. Last night's Radio Scotland country music show with Ricky Ross told a story about Willie Nelson contacting Sinead after the Bob Dylan show at which she was booed and Kris Kristofferson supported her, to ask her to do a duet. Cover of Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush's "Don't Give Up". If you can find a recording of it, it is stunning. Imagine Sinead's fragile element of her voice, rather than the power part, singing those words. Still feel sad about her struggles. |

Thanks for that HG x I have grieved Sinead more than any other person in the public spotlight. The film was amazing and I'm so grateful for her life, her bravery, her music and the change she inspired which will live forever, but ultimately can't get over the feeling that her death is another nail in the coffin of common decency. She was ultimately chewed up and spat out to rot by the very people and system that now are 'mourning' the death of a legend. Whatever sells regardless of the consequences eh? I'm not angry, or judging, just sad. |

The All Ireland football final on Sunday played Nothing Compares...the stadium just fell silent and watched her on screen. There are some clips out there of her on the Late Late from the early 90s which give you goosebumps. Bad year for Iirish music having lost Christy Dignan as well but I think Sineads loss will be felt worldwide. |
