The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

I love my On Cloud Flash shoes, the fastest things I've ever had on my feet. Two provisos, though - their traction is not good in damp conditions, so I tend to only use them when it's dry out. And they are LUDICROUSLY expensive, at £160 list price. I happened to win mine so it was not an issue for me, but I would simply to refuse to pay anything like that for shoes. They seem to have cropped up at various places at half this price of late, though, so maybe worth a look.
