When you save a run as a route, you choose whether to make the whole thing public ( or not). I don't think there is a Privacy feature as you describe - which there is on strava.

Mine is wide open to all, others shoe next to nothing. Should be reasonably self evident in that page. Check it by viewing your profile in a "private" or "incognito" tab to see what other people get to see once you have tinkered with the settings.
