Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Number of revolutions of the front wheel of the world's biggest penny farthing ( I'm not sure there is an official record, so any big example will do) :)

Ooh, how about laps of the Large Hadron Collider? We can all visualise ourselves as speeding sub-atomic particles.

Is there an estimate of calories burnt for each run? You could measure how many pints/bottles of wine/cakes we've earned :)

SusiesueH, I'm not sure the tariff for cake is that straightforward. For instance:

10 miles running = 1 cake
3 miles running = 1 cake
short stroll to cake shop = 1 cake
day has 'y' in it = 1 cake

Given that I work in the water industry, can we measure runs in terms of litres of water consumed (or converted to waste?)...
