Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

One small step for runners.

That between us all, we've run to the moon and back 36 times, and we're 45,044 miles (or about 10 days) from touching down for our 37th trip?

The cyclists will make their tenth lunar landing today.

And to give the swimmers a comparable unit (they're half way on their first trip), they've swum from Lands End to New York and back 18 times.

See what units of measurement you can come up with, and I'll bring back that little box that tells you random ones.

Feel free to offer collective ones, and individual targets :-)

I will now put aside my slight disappointment that this isn't a thread about actually running on the moon. Due to reduced gravity, am I less overweight on the moon?

Possible units:

Tour de Frances
Kings Cross to Olympic Parks
Olympic traffic lanes
Laps of Seb Coe's ego (still less than 1?)

Orbital periods of Halley's Comet?

Fractions of a light year?

THose should give us something to aim for over the next few decades.
