But as it won't be awful I don't think that's really a confession or requires forgiveness. Errr, I buy sweets and biscuits then stash them in my bedside cabinet to hide them from my wife. But as that's partly to save her from biscuit temptation as she has requested then I'm not sure if that requires confession either?! G

They are a small family run business, they require their staff to often work long hours / evenings / weekends - they recognise that this requirement impacts family life and therefore as a 'thank you' to understanding partners / spouses they are also invited to the xmas do - which is completely paid for by the company, including an open bar! It is a lovely thought / gesture but I'd rather stick a fork in my eye. The 'confession' element is more about the fact that I'm leaving my spouse to deal with it on their own rather than any obligation to the Company.

Actually, we don't even know if it is a he and, even if it is, maybe he puts the seat down while using it then lifts is again before leaving.
