Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Respostioning costs increase with both cadence and speed. Cost is proportional to the product of cadence x speed

Cheers Canute. get what you were saying now - essentially overal cost increases because you are doing it more frequently.

I agree with all the footstrike comments. Certainly with walking more plantar fasciitis is seen in forefoot walkers, lateral foot strikers and wearers of crocs

Not scientific - just saying that is what I see

How is the efficient running business going? I occasionally hear about barefoot running, but not much else here.

Fell over during a 30-miler on Saturday and injured my left calf, coupled with a huge blister under the ball of my right foot I'm not running anywhere at the moment :(

Family with a pushchair on the path coming towards me, I tried to squeeze past on the right and slipped of the path and fell on my back. The fall was absorbed by left calf and left forearm.
