It is just a drip for 30 mins, then flushed through with another drip for 30 mins. Its because I couldn't tolerate the aledronic acid tablets so have this done once a year for 3 years

In my case it has been recommended because my hip density is not responding well enough to the tablets.

My hips are okish too, spine had improved to osteopenic but gone back to porotic now! Mum has the infusion because she was finding it tricky to follow all the instructions. I tolerate it fine so aren't chasing up a change.

I’m not sure about anything. I was told I had severe osteopenia after breaking my arm.

Given calcichew tablets. No follow up.

Is that right or should it be checked?

Looby Loo am not sure with Osteopenia but would thought they would check every so many years. Check with doctor maybe.

When they found my osteoporosis i was told then that my next dexa scan wouldn't be for 3 years.

I have calci-d chewable daily tablet too

Just realised I am running out of tablets. I always order Osteo 4, which have calcium and D3, from www.justvitamins.co.uk. No personal interest to declare, other than that of a satisfied customer.
