Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

I need to get a new bicycle helmet as the old one is damaged. Any tips for getting rid of the old helmet?

Ideally I want to prevent re-use so will cut the straps. Just wondering if there are any companies / organisations that take them or have a use?

Have you tried asked bicycle shops. Dunno if they collect them to dispose like electrical places do for electrical goods

Hi Night Owl, good idea on bicycle shops since I will have to be shopping for a new helmet. I didn't think of that at all despite being so obvious on hindsight. I need to get these neurons firering.

Bike shop might partner with the 999 services, if not, I will try them next.

Years ago, I had a giro and they took them back. That doesn't seem to be a thing any more, certainly not for this crashed botranger helmet.

Thanks B.

I've had that helmet a while, at least 2 years. The main thing I want to avoid id someone finding and using it but also of someone had a use for it.

I'll be shopping around for a new one soon. The new fitting helmets are definitely better than they used to be.

Got something to say?
