I'm so near I can almost taste the champagne... This year's activities are in Garmin Connect, I've authorised the link between GC and FE but none of the new activities have come across. Is this normal? |

I've tried that. Was never able to get it to work. Runs would appear in GC but never sync to fetch. Yet if I manually uploaded a gpx to GC it would appear on fetch. I gave up in the end 🙁

Have you tried just one into GC? When Fetch first created the synch with GC everyone's backlog of data took ages. But when I do one its usually on Fetch in the time it takes me to respond to the transfer to GC complete"

Good plan HappyG, I tried that this afternoon. Tried uploading a single activity. It got as far as GC but not into Fetch. I've sent a note to FE to see if he has any ideas. How can it be this difficult? Arrgh! |

Just sent you a Garmin Connect connection request, so I can look at your activities in GC and see if they look different to mine. How did you request Fetch to connect to GC? Is it just the http://www.fetcheveryone.com/garmin.php link? I can't remember if it confirms anything when that is activated. (Think it was a few years ago when I first activated it). I can't think of why data in GC would look "different" to Fetch, whether it had come via tapiriik or from a Garmin device. Fetch does look to see if the data has been previously downloaded, into Fetch, and won't download it again (I don't know how it does this). Hmm... |

MC, you need to change GC setting to "share with Connections" so I can see what you've logged. Cheers, ![]() |

Thanks HappyG. I've changed my GC settings so that my cconnectios can see my activities...

I can still only see a summary. Doesn't really matter. I think what I'm saying is, if you have a look at one of your Tapiriik sync'd GC runs (or activity, whatever it is) and see if you can find any way in which it is "different" to a GC run in my profile which has come in from a Garmin device. Is there a setting that says "don't share with other apps/sites" associated with your activity which isn't the case with mine, somehow. I can see in your GC that it says Device Unknown. It would be a shame and a bit bizarre, if that is the only reason that FE can't get at your data in GC? Hope you get it sorted (or you could always buy the bottom of range Garmin for £40 off ebay?!) ![]() |

Right. Looking more closely I can see that changing the privacy settings in the GC profile only sets the privacy of NEW incoming activities not existing ones. So I've been in and changed the privacy settings of each of this year's activities from "private" to "connections and groups". Maybe this will do it? Perhaps FE needs the privacy set to allow connections read access. I'll wait and see. |
