After three years of squashed food, and not using it all that much overall, I finally gave up and bought a different one from Lidl last year. It has about half the cooking area, heats up in exactly two minutes, is much lighter so food stays in its proper conformation, and is white (just for a change).

Probably used it as much in six months or so than I did the other in three years. In fact, I've just had me tea off it, a mushroom burger. Recommended grilling time 20-25 minutes: done in 10.

Sometimes, I even warm my bun in it moon

I came here to make some lame joke about George Formby and ukuleles but I see I already did that in 2017.

Might as well, we've been reheating the bun-warmer stuff ;-)
