Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Garmin Express - will it break my fetch upload?

Logged in to garmin connect this morning, and they're pimping a replacement for ant agent etc. - Garmin Express. Has anyone taken the plunge? Does it love fetch? Is it shiny?

Downloaded it this morning. It did a software update to my Garmin 10 but I haven't been for a run with it since the update so can't really comment on any changes its made other than the fact that I can still see the same run options, history, data fields etc.

The browser-based console has remained unchanged but the preview indicates that's due for a re-fresh too.

Oh and the FIT files are still there so you can use them to upload to Fetch, and the Garmin Communicator Plugin still doesn't work for the Garmin 10 on Fetch.

Not touching it until they force me to. My 205 is starting to struggle as it is, so I'm not changing a thing :-)

I've been using it for a month or so. It seems ok for Garmin connect, but Fetch still uses the communicator. Not sure what this means for the long term support of the communicator and when it will disappear and/or stop working!!

Confusingly Garmin Express is not Garmin Express Fit. I downloaded it (Express not Express Fit) on release yesterday and it works fine with everything. You have to be aware though that things tend to work for me as I have an annoying habit of reading instructions.

I've read the instructions fine on Garmin upgrades before. Doesn't mean they have worked :-)
