Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Mr D has just done a bit of research - seems there's a problem with Windows 7 64 bit (which have on my laptop) & Ant+. He's got Windows 8 & it downloaded straight away on to his Garmin Connect. Phone call to Garmin tomorrow, there's a thread on the Garmin Connect forum about it & that Garmin have told them about the work-round - pity they didn't post how to do it on the forum! Seemingly the Ant+ software is too advanced for Windows 7. Do you have the teeny weeny Ant stick K5, or the bigger, older one?

No idea, didn't realise there were different sizes, it's over a year old, about 6cm long, 1 cm wide. I had a 610 previously which had the same size, so guessing mine is the "bigger, older one".

Just checked eBay - yep, defo the old one. You can pick up an old one cheap if it's the stick rather than the software that is the issue

Mr D might have it fixed by tomorrow but for now I am watching an 'older, bigger' ANT stick with a starting price of 99p ;)

I was on Win7-64 without any issues (and now running virtualised Win7-64 on a Mac still with no issues)

running Ant Agent v2.3.4

I'd avoid going up to Garmin Express - it seems to have caused a lot of 'fun'.

After the best part of the day on the phone to Garmin Support, it's now downloading training runs (I had to go and fo one just to check!). Seems like it was indeed Garmin Express's fault...

Not surprised. For a start it allows itself to be installed alongside Ant Agent. Never going to work!
