Ok, it's about time we had a Surrey mile, mainly so I can attend :-)

There is a track here in Walton-on-Thames, it's 25 minutes on a direct line from Waterloo and easy access from the Guildford area, then it's a five minute jog to the start. I have this evening had a word with the person involved in the hiring of it, he says I can have the track for the event, the cost will be £2.50 per person.

It has to be a Sunday afternoon though as Walton & Hersham FC use it on Saturdays and the athletics club use it on Sunday afternoons.

So, if there's enough interest, its simply a case of coming up with a date that everyone can agree on. I was thinking of maybe doing it early in the new year, say around the 11th or 18th January? I'm open to suggestions though, and having never organised anything like this, I would appreciate any input as to how to make it a success. I gave him a rough number of 20 people as a starting point.

If it turns out that February is easier, then we'll make it February. January may not be ideal for everyone, and late December is a bit too soon to get it all organised. The majority will rule, so feel free to suggest alternative dates.

I can in theory but it would depend on the actual date as I have quite a lot on already :-)

Je suis slightement confused. Would it be a sunday morning or arvo? Cuase it appears to be a clash with the athletics club using it?

A great afternoon despite the FREEZING cold!! Some great running, especially from those having to wait until the last group.
