Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

+1 for Annecy. Tips and reviews would be most useful. It's on the list of places I'd like to stay in with the caravan for a month or so.

As you know, Moo, we’re having a great time with ours. We’ve been away every other weekend since June and are now doing our longest trip so far - 9 nights around North Yorkshire :)

All I can say is if anyone is planning on visiting Annecy just do it. It is stunning. Good drive down, mainly on the toll roads. Stopped in Dole over night, and what a find that was. 5 hours from calais which left 3 hours the next day. The last 90 mins drive is through the mountains and just stunning. Fabulous cycle routes, lakes fab for kayak. It's a little bit of heaven

Sounds brilliant, thanks Mandy! I'm planning on running the Mont Blanc marathon next year to celebrate my retirement, so will drive to Chamonix via Dole and Annecy. Feel freel to recommend overnight camp spots etc :-)

In the same rough area as Dole, we’ve previously camped at the Val de Bonnal, close to Vesoul. Really nice site with lakes and a swimming pool.

Been doing quite a bit of work on our van lately, have had all the suspension and running gear sandblasted and repainted/undersealed, then new Pagid discs and pads all round, calipers stripped down and serviced, then repainted in gloss back. Finished off with new 235/55/17 Michelin Primacy all round. Looking good!
