Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Hi, if we want to put forward a team, we need to contact The Running Shop and have them update our individual entries. We also need to think of a team name.
As far as I'm aware, a team has as many members as it wants but it's the first 3 or sometimes 4 to cross the line, who count.
There have been some name suggestions on the Aberdeen Fetch Mile thread but feel free to put some down here. Also, let everyone know if you're happy enough to be in a Fetch related team (if youre not running for your club or work) and I will let the organisers know the week before the event (1st May).
ALTERNATIVELY, we can make up our own smaller teams based on current WAVAs or times and compete against each other.....teams would be handicapped eg fastest time also has slowest time in their team.
Let me know if you want to do this, along with your current PB and WAVA % for 5K and I can try and organise the teams.
Cheers, Nywanda

Just checked, we need 5 qualifying runners for a team.

Winning team last year were: 19:44, 17:15, 20:14, 20:18, 18:46
The 5th placed team were: 21:41, 29:30, 26:18, 19:14, 26:18

I think we would definitely have a team to rival 5th place or better....thoughts?

i say we go for it, but dont take ourselves too seriously!!!

I'm going to sit on the fence with this one. Whatever most folks want to do is fine with me. Just remember I'll be at the back (maybe I should offer to be a sweeper). Will be chuffed for any time under 40 mins :)

I will easily join in a Fetch team (if you will let me) :-) This race is not in the SRC calendar.

Is it 5 maximum for the team? Or the best 5 times count?

I should be 18:5x shape by then (all things well) so could head up a team if needed.

We could call it the Duckecht Dash Team. Or the Dunecht Duck :)

5 best times - so we can have everyone in the team of course ;-)

Not sure what sort of nick I'll be in. 27.35 on a slightly short course at XC with a biggish hill, should mean I could get in that region on road for 5K, but there's the heel to consider.....and lack of training! I'll be not taking myself too seriously near the back.
