That seems very pricey. You can pay £24 for 5 race 5K series round Cheshire way (sold out already I believe).

There's a series of three chip timed evening races in Hatfield in the Autumn that are around £9 each to enter, with a discount if you enter early. The course is completely flat and popular with club runners so a lot of fast times are recorded - I'm was in the last few at just over 30mins so not like a parkrun..

I've done that one I think Brian - I seem to remember it being dark or close to. Round an industrial estate? Good run though.

Yes, that's the one fetch - there's enough street lighting but I used my running light, my night vision isn't very good now
