Right now the VLM training run out of the way I can start working up to the main event.
Just looked at the profile, the first 11 miles tis all downhill barring a evil looking hump at 6. So that means the rest of the race is spent gaining 1100ft in elevation??? I just compared it to the Cornish and there's only a 600ft gain. Wibble.

Well you've got to lose 1100 ft somewhere along the way.... I better start practising on the hills again. Fortunately it being Cornwall outside my door, that is easily achieved.

First half is mainly downhill, apart from the very sharp climb at Dartmeet. Temptation is to go too fast until Ashburton, hold it back as the 1.75 mile hill out of the town is pretty tough. After that it isn't reall flat again until the run back to Princetown, which has a nice hill just to round things off. Great course.
