Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

The works around the front entrance door to C Block have now finished and the door can now be used. However there are still some items of building equipment still stored in the lobby to the left hand side of the doors as you exit the building, so take care when using the entrance.

1) There is still some RANK smelling food in the fridge that makes stomachs turn everytime the fridge door is opened. Can you please check if this food - obviously past its sell-by date - is yours?

2) I had to spend half hour clearing the hotdesks earlier as they had been left in a mess again. What particularly annoyed me was the last person to sit at hotdesk number 6. This desk is intended for people to use the desktop PC setup on it. I found this PC with all the cables unplugged and hanging loose earlier today and this was not the first time. This is really inconsiderate and selfish as the next person who wishes to use the PC there would have had to have wired it all back up, or call me at their peril. There are plenty of other hotdesks with cables all ready for you to use - I really dont see why you have to make the effort to disconnect cables from the PC just to sit at this particular desk.

Please be more considerate in future.

It is policy that all mobile phones should be set to meeting, discreet or silent when in the office. Many people seem to be unaware or actively breaking this policy and I would like this to stop immediately. It can be extremely annoying and distracting when a mobile starts ringing in the office and there is absolutely no reason or excuse why phones should not be switched to discreet or silent when in the office.

Bloody hell Le Greg, are you allowed to talk in your office? Does no one have work calls on their mobiles?

This is biggest area in which we are collectively failing our responsibilities to keep the office tidy. The state of our toilets is nothing less than shameful and present an appalling impression to any visitors to the office. We all need to make a huge effort to keep the toilets clean and tidy; I shouldn't need to say things like hand towels should be put in the bin, if you make a mess that should clean up after yourself etc. If you look at the other floors of the building their toilets invariably look much better than ours and we should all feel ashamed of the current state in which we keep our toilets.

I ask that we all make a concerted effort to make and keep the office tidy going forward. I would greatly appreciate it if we all took a bit more responsibility for keeping the office tidy and had some pride in the office in which we work.

I really love that bit : "If you look at the other floors of the building their toilets invariably look much better than ours ". FFS some people really have too much time on their hands!
