The People page used to show all your Buddies, but it's changed today ( I think ) and now only shows those who you Follow
I Buddy a lot more than I Follow, so suddenly I've "lost" a lot of info
Do others generally Follow everyone they Buddy ? What are benefits/downsides of Following over Buddying ? I'm aware that you get a notification when someone you Follow logs training ( not sure if that can be disabled ), what else is different ?
You also used to be able to sort the People page by Latest Training, Mileage Logged, amongst others, but don't see any sort options.
It does now show the last 7 sessions they've logged rather than just the most recent one which is nice

must say I'm not a fan of the new page either People I follow and people I buddy for blog visibility are not necessarily the same, finding the new page a little confusing

The bottom of that page also showed who had a birthday that day and that;s disappeared too.

Buddy = someone you give permission to see more detail about your profile.
Someone you follow = someone who’s training you want to keep an eye on.
If you follow all the people on your buddy list, I don’t think there’s any info missing from the original page.

Yeah I noticed that and don’t like the change. Why do you have to follow and buddy.

It’s ok now you can click on your buddy list, but I find my buddies more useful than my follows

Fetch - it's a change to the way the People page works. Up to now you buddied someone if you wanted to see their training on the People page, now hundreds of users are going to have to go and set up loads of new Follows to get the same as what they had.
You say nothing missing - option to sort of the list, and birthdays ? What is the default option now, is it latest training ?
As i said in TOTP I like the new show of last 7 entries
It says how many followers you have, can you see a list of those who follow you anywhere ?
Is the only way to follow someone to open up one of their training entries and click on Follow, nothing at User level ? Would it make more sense to have a Follow button beside the Buddy button ?

You can follow someone by going to their profile. If you have dozens of buddies that you want to follow, send me feedback and I can automate it for you.
The old people page wasn’t so hot at acknowledging the share settings that people applied to their training, and therefore it needed to change. And as much as I’d like to keep the birthdays, it doesn’t feel right to be sharing that info without express permission.

The birthday thing is a good point - I guess not everyone knew their birthday appeared on that page. Well done
