No pasta for us as we're with Magpie's parents so I'll be doing risotto for tea

Nothing booked yet, something central and safe, but open to suggestions.

Central and safe? Requiring central I can understand, but "safe" as a criterion? This IS Brighton we're talking about. Unless the homosexual community has become particularly uppity recently I don't imagine safety will be a problem.

Yes, the last thing you want is to get stabbed from behind if you aren't expecting it!

Safe in terms of what the food is. I require bland pizza/pasta the night before the race. A couple of years ago I had a very nice seafood meal the night before Edinburgh. There are few decisions I regret as much as that one!

There's a Pizza Express in the Laines somewhere. Or we went to a really good Italian just off Regency Square last year.

That's the kind of thing. Might have been a Carluccios last year. Pleasant, but zero risk of 'upset' the next day. Definitely no curries.

Does anyone have a spare room available at all (will pay of course), I don't have any accommodation planned for Brighton. I'm quite normal (as runners go) I promise. Otherwise I'm kipping in my car the night before!
