I don't much care where we go, to be perfectly honest. Somewhere along the front would be easier. I got lost finding the other one a couple of years ago. And I'm not sure if I'd like it closer to the finish line or not - closer means a longer walk to the station afterwards, but seeing as I'll hopefully be feeling a bit more refreshed by then it might not matter. On the other hand, if I've been sitting down I'll be rather stiff. Decisions, decisions ... |

As long as the place serves food and bubbles then I am happy, but I have booked our hotel for Sun night nearish to the location of the pub from last year so we didnt have too far to go...

I think that was part of the draw of the pub last year so no I dont think its too much too ask, am sure someone with local knowledge can suggest options!

Last two years have we all met at the Globe in Middle Street. I don't know why we ended up downstairs last year. Anyway, for a change of venue close to the old one and child-friendly, how about The Hop Poles further up the same road? beerintheevening.com |

Aimless wandering isn't necessary. It's one road east from the main road which leads up from the seafront to the station (West Street). If you stand with your back to the Odeon, you can look down South Street and see the Globe. The Hop Poles is further up Middle Street from the seafront on the left side.
