Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

An old thread I appreciate, but just got one of these based on the reviews above.

Now £21 but upgraded to upto 150 Lumens, so hoping to be able to use this to run round the parks/trails of Sheffield at night.

Hi Macca, are they suitable for running through unlit woods? Going by advice I think they should be, but appreciate your perspective.

I had one headtorch before, which I picked up from a discount shop, which was next to useless. In general, you get what you pay for!

I've run on unlit footpaths with no problem Brunski - never tried on unlit trails/woods at night though. I would certainly give it a go - most of the trails in my immediate vicinity are basically used for doggie loos and I doubt the head torch would pinpoint the poo!

Ha, we seem to do alright on the whole for responsible dog owners here in Sheffield.

I'm planning on running this (once happy the torch will light the way sufficiently). I've run it several times as a training run, and entered this race the last couple of years.... my favourite run of the year!
